Five Alive Parish

  • We are the Church of England Parish of Fladbury, Hill & Moor, Wyre Piddle, Cropthorne and Charlton in the Diocese of Worcester. We call ourselves the Five Alive Parish. We are situated in the beautiful Vale of Evesham, between the towns of Evesham and Pershore beside the River Avon.

    Our mission is to worship God and to work together to share God's love in our community. We welcome visitors to our church services and to our social events. Please use this web site to find out more and we hope that you will join us soon at one of our church services or events.

    We are members of the Open Churches Network, so will find our churches open for you to visit, or if you wish to drop into our churches for private prayer.

     Parish Vacancy and Deanery Organisation

    Bishop Graham, the Bishop of Dudley, visited our Parish in August, walking from Wyre to Cropthorne with stops along the way. In Cropthorne Church he had an open meeting with people who had accompanied him or who went to meet him at the Church.

    The following is his report on his visit to the Deanery. In it he raises a number of issues regarding options for reorganising Parishes and Benefices in the Northern part of the Deanery before appointments are made to fill the existing vacancies for Parish Priests.

    He is encouraging as many people as possible to consider these issues and make their views known to PCC members who are meeting with the Bishop on Saturday 29th November in Charlton.

    Please do take the time to feed back your thoughts before this important meeting. Thank you.

    Parish Prayer  - while we seek a new priest to lead us.

    GOD OUR FATHER
    You have welcomed each one of us in Jesus
    and called us to be His Body in this place;

    Send us your Holy Spirit, at this time of uncertainty and change,
    to fill us with vision, energy, and faithfulness in prayer,
    that we may be true to our calling  to bring new life to our community;

    And guide with your heavenly wisdom those who are to choose a new Incumbent for this parish,
    that the one whom we receive may be a wise and gentle shepherd of your people:
    ready to serve us with joy, to build us up in faith, and to lead us by example

    in loving obedience to your son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

    Amen
